Experience world-class fishing along Northeast Florida’s scenic inshore waterways and endless miles of pristine backwater saltwater marshes.

Welcome to North Florida Fishing Charters.

I am Captain Ron Schurr your guide. I have been fishing the waters of Jacksonville, St Augustine and Amelia Island for over 20 years specializing in light tackle inshore and backwater fishing. I make every effort to provide a memorable and safe fishing adventure regardless of your fishing expertise. I focus most of my trips in these scenic backwater marshes and estuaries that are along the Intracoastal Waterway and St Johns River.

Inshore and Backwater Fishing:

Northeast Florida offers world-class inshore and backwater fishing every month of the year. Here we target Redfish, Flounder, Speckled Sea Trout and Black Drum on light tackle. Whether you prefer lure, live bait or fly fishing, Captain Ron Can specifically tune your fishing adventure regardless of your skill level.

Coastal and Inlet Fishing:

Coastal, inlet and near shore fishing off Northeast Florida also provides excellent fishing opportunities depending on the time of year. An abundant variety of fish are available to target including tarpon, sharks, bull redfish, jack crevalle, cobia, and Spanish mackerel and sheepshead along the Intracoastal Waterway, river, and inlet.

Tailing Redfish:

Tailing Redfish in the grass has become a favorite. From August until late November stalk and sight cast to tailing redfish and sheepshead in the flooded spartina grass flats along the Intracoastal Waterway. This is a unique opportunity in Northeast Florida that occurs during extreme high tides in the late summer months. This is a popular fishery for fly fishing and lure enthusiasts. It may be the most exciting 4 hours of hunting/fishing you’ll ever experience.
